We spend most of our time between the kitchen and dining room during the day (and the garden when it’s warm out), then in the cosy living room in the evenings after our daughter’s bedtime.

We’ve come to really love this house and had intended to stay for at least five years, but we don’t have any family in Scotland, so the pandemic forced a change of plan. We’re now moving to mum’s native Ireland so we can be close to grandparents and other family members.

The neighbours have all been here for a good while, some for decades, and it’s always pretty quiet. It’s easy to get parked right outside, too. 

Working in town, you can take the train from Singer to Queen Street or Central in about 25 minutes, or park at Dalmuir and catch the fast service taking just 16 minutes.”
